Dave Powell - Ward 1

Dave was born and raised in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Highlands High School (1994) and attended Cincinnati State for Land Surveying. He has been employed in land surveying for over 27 years including the last 17 years as a project manager for Berding Surveying. He moved to Reading in 2002 and married his wife Debbie (Niehaus). He has two sons, Joe and Greg that attend Reading High and Middle School.

Prior to being appointed to Council in 2019, Dave served as a member of the Reading Planning Commission and the Building Committee for the new school. He currently serves as the Chair of the Zoning, Planning, and Environment Committee as well as a member of the Reading Community Improvement Corporation (CIC).
