Law Director David Stevenson

Dave has served the City of Reading as its law director since 1995, and in that capacity, provides legal advice to the administration and City Council. He is also employed as a senior assistant prosecutor in the Litigation Section of the Civil Division of the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.

He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Business Administration (1978) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (1981). He is admitted to practice before all Ohio courts, the United States district courts for the southern and northern districts of Ohio, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is active in the Cincinnati Bar Association and has served as the chairman of its Local Government Law Committee (2000 – 2002).

Dave and his wife Karen are the proud parents of Elizabeth (born 1997) and Lauren (born 2000).
